Parrot Play & Ball run

Come together to play just like parrots, full of energy, curiosity and adventure! Little ones can chase, roll and explore our exciting new ball runs popping up across the Park this summer for endless interactive fun and discovery.

Please note, this is about playful exploration inspired by parrots. All parrots remain safely in their aviaries and are not part of the play experience. Branded cork balls will be sold at a small additional cost of £2.99.

Summer 2026

National Artist Paul Nelson

The iconic birds behind the UK's largest bird park are set to be immortalised in oil paint, as Birdworld announces a major new painting exhibition this summer. The family attraction, home to more than 1,000 birds and 181 species, has collaborated with renowned British painter Paul Nelson on 'The Birds' - a series of twelve oil paintings each depicting visitor favourites in their native habitats, including Boy the toucan, Moose and Elk the snowy owls and more. The exhibition, held in the Palm Café, will open with a Private View on Friday 5 June, and will be open to the public from 6 June until 12 July.
