Meet the Dinosaurs! Trail & Show
Birdworld is going prehistoric this May half term from Sat 23 to Sun 31 May with Meet the Dinosaurs! Celebrating the link between birds and their dinosaur ancestors. In partnership with Rent a Dinosaur, families can enjoy the live show *How to Train Your Dinosaur*, starring Baxter the T. rex and Dino Babies, with shows daily at 11am, 12 midday and 2pm, plus a 3pm walkabout.
Visitors can also explore the Dino Discovery Trail and hands-on feather activities in the new 'The Wonderful World of Feathers' exhibition, where families can investigate feathers under microscopes, enjoy interactive challenges and discover the fascinating science connecting birds and dinosaurs.

Summer 2026
National Artist Paul Nelson
The iconic birds behind the UK's largest bird park are set to be immortalised in oil paint, as Birdworld announces a major new painting exhibition this summer. The family attraction, home to more than 1,000 birds and 181 species, has collaborated with renowned British painter Paul Nelson on 'The Birds' - a series of twelve oil paintings each depicting visitor favourites in their native habitats, including Boy the toucan, Moose and Elk the snowy owls and more. The exhibition, held in the Palm Café, will open with a Private View on Friday 5 June, and will be open to the public from 6 June until 12 July.
