Fun for everyone, whatever the weather, all year long.

Birdworld is evolving, with a fresh focus on family time together, enjoying and exploring nature.

That’s why you can now look forward to exploring two new play areas and a trail to take you deeper into the world of birds.

Designed with accessibility in mind, nest swings and wheelchair-friendly routes are woven in and around both the indoor and outdoor play areas. Lower-level, timber pathways take you past plenty of interactive learning stations for hands-on play and fun fact-finding.

Overseeing it all, you’ll find a family of adorable woodland sprites, The Spriglets, who care for and know all about our feathered friends. Who will your favourite be?

Outdoor

Clamber, swoop and discover what’s in and amongst the trees.

Natural, outdoor adventure play for all ages.

In Birdworld’s new open air playground, children can stretch their wings and get off the ground, safely. Rope nets and bridges, raised walkways, suspended trampolines and giant bird nests all invite woodland explorations from a fresh perspective.

Open all year round, hands-on play features sit alongside climbing structures for plenty of natural play out in the fresh air. There’s even an interactive, waist-height, wet-play area. Who can work out how to channel the water, or the round wooden seeds, to fill The Bird Bath?

Scurry, swish and perch under cover in The Play Barn

Whatever the weather, children love to connect with nature. That’s why the woodland world has been brought inside The Play Barn. It’s all adventure and exploration away from the elements.

Scamper along rope bridges. Peep down through suspended nets. Swoosh down slides and poles. It’s immersive, imaginative play that’s full of possibility and discovery.

Those feeling less spritely can find a perch for something to eat or drink, whilst keeping a beady yet benevolent eye on the goings-on.

Please note, all our play areas offer free play without staff supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of your little ones. All necessary precautions have been made and equipment is under continual compliance checks, ensuring the structures are well-maintained for your peace of mind.

How green are these
new installations?

Expert ecological consultation has gone into the design of all these new play areas, to encourage natural play while being a sustainable development for the future. Any trees cleared for the new sites were chosen with care and restraint. Two new trees are being planted for every one removed.

Wherever possible, the play equipment has been made from sustainably-sourced, natural or recycled materials. Both the indoor and outdoor play structures utilise FSC-certified Robinia hardwood, chosen for its durability and minimal environmental impact. As well as being a fast-growing, sustainable resource, Robinia is naturally resistant to insects and fungi, so needs no chemical treatment.

Greenspan, our design and build partners, also prioritise working with local suppliers from workshops in Andover and Eastleigh to reduce transportation emissions and improve efficiency.

Together, we’re creating a play experience that is exciting for children while matching our commitment to conservation and environmental responsibility.
