Birdworld is inviting families across Hampshire and Surrey to take part in a quackers new competition.
The UK’s largest bird park is launching its first ever Duck Dash – a monthly treasure hunt that will see its beloved mascot, Penguin, hide five keepsake rubber ducks in Farnham, Haslemere, Petersfield, Liphook and Bordon.
Families of all ages will be encouraged to follow the clues shared on Birdworld’s social media channels and track down the numbered ducks hidden around key locations. Once found, winners will simply need to follow the instructions to discover which prize they have bagged.
Prizes up for grabs include a plush penguin and child entry ticket, a family ticket to Birdworld, a private family tour, a penguin feeding experience and an adult entry ticket.
All ducks will be hidden in clearly visible, accessible public locations, with Birdworld sharing social media clues throughout the morning to help families join the hunt.
Woodies Wheeler-Bennett, Marketing Manager at Birdworld, said: “In the run-up to the summer holidays, we wanted to do something a little bit different – something fun, playful and community-focused.
“Duck Dash is a way for us to give back to the local families and towns that have supported Birdworld over the last five decades, while encouraging people to explore, enjoy a bit of adventure and hopefully come and have a brilliant day out with us at the Park too.”
The competition will run exclusively across Birdworld’s Facebook and Instagram channels from the end of March, with the final Duck Dash taking place in July.
Woodies added: “Even if you miss out on one of the Duck Dash prizes, we’d still love to see you at Birdworld this year. We’ve got a fantastic line-up of events and plenty happening across the Park, so there will be lots for families to enjoy.”
