Spooktacular Halloween Activity Week at Birdworld
This Halloween half-term, Birdworld is creaking open the doors of its Spooktacular Halloween Grotto to give visitors a fun-filled week of tricks and treats.
Between Saturday 20th to Sunday 28th October, visitors can walk through the creepy corridors of the park’s unique Halloween Grotto to see a spectacle of spooks and a coven of very wicked witches. Plenty of fun with a little bit of fright and all included in the price of a general entry ticket.
Families will also be able to enjoy a creepy array of activities between Monday 22nd – Friday 26th October (11am -4pm). Visitors will be given the chance to make some boo-tiful arts and crafts, watch mystical magic tricks, have some fearsome face painting (additional charges apply) and of course step-aboard the special Halloween Train Ride to learn about some of the gruesome habits of the park’s larger birds.
Around the 26-acre park, there will also be a Halloween trail themed around mysterious Magpies. Visitors will be asked to find the hidden Magpies and complete a challenge or question for each one that they find. Completed trails will be entered into a daily prize draw to win a ticket to another attraction!
To join in the fun with the rest of the Birdworld Team, visitors are also invited to wear their most fearful fancy dress costumes and prizes will be given for the best outfits!
Mark Anderson, General Park Manager at Birdworld, said: “We’re planning a nail-biting week for our visitors this Halloween to really show them a different side to Birdworld life, with experiences they won’t forget. Regular feeding sessions and displays hosted by the keepers will run as usual throughout the week, plus we will also have other activities such as magic shows with performer Crazee Hazee (Monday -Thursday) and Creepy Crawly Bug Handling sessions on Friday 26th.”
