Daily Events

In addition to the Bird Park and Gardens, Underwater World and Jenny Wren Farm there are always lots of daily events to add to your enjoyment.

Upon arrival at Birdworld you will find the times and details of what is happening on the day that you visit, but listed below is a summary of what you can look forward to.

As you will see there is a lot to pack into a day at Birdworld so be sure to allow enough time for your visit so that you don’t miss out on any of our great daily events.

Penguin Feeding

Our Penguins are fed twice a day at 11am and 3:30pm. This is accompanied by a fascinating presentation from our bird keepers who will amaze you with great facts while the penguins themselves dart and dive for their dinner!

If you really want to get involved then why not join the keepers and feed the penguins yourself? Visit our Penguin Feeding Experience page.

Outdoor Flying Display

(Daily from Easter to end October. Weather permitting.)
Be amazed as different birds from all around the world swoop overhead and skim close by in our fantastic Outdoor Flying Display. This tends to be a display with a difference as not only will you see huge owls but also the in-flight splendour of birds not so commonly seen free flying such as Parrots and Kookaburras. (Please note birds do vary)

The Discovery Theatre Show

The Discovery Theatre show is both fun and educational. This indoor presentation showcases a range of birds allowing them to display their natural behaviour. Our visitors never cease to be amazed by what they learn in this fascinating presentation.

Animal Encounters on the Jenny Wren Farm

(Weather permitting.)
This is a lovely opportunity to get close to some of our smaller ‘cute and cuddly’ farm animals. Young visitors in particular enjoy the experience of seeing young rabbits, guinea pigs and mice and trained staff are always on hand to give advice. Hand washing facilities are located close by.  Suitable for ages 3 years +.

The Owl Prowl

Join our bird keepers on their daily round to learn all about the park’s Owls. They will be pleased to tell you all about this popular group of birds and will happily answer all of your questions.

The Safari Road Train

Throughout the day you can enjoy a trip on the Safari Road Train, from which you can view some of the larger birds at Birdworld including Emus, Cranes and Storks. Accompanied by a commentary, you will return as well informed travellers! The Safari Road Train leaves from the station located behind the Safari Snack bar and returns to the same point.
