Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Birdworld is closed until further notice…

Sadly, we have made the decision to close Birdworld to our visitors from 16:30pm on Monday 23rd March

Given the current circumstances we will close our doors for the foreseeable future.

We really hope that this is a temporary measure, we are all looking forward to welcoming you back to the zoo as soon as we can.

Look after yourselves and each other and we will see you all as soon as possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

HOW LONG WILL Birdworld BE CLOSED FOR?

Unfortunately at this point, we simply do not know. We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation, advice from the Government, WHO and Public Health England and will provide updates as soon as we’re able.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY ANNUAL membership?

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support we receive from our Annual Members. Due to the current situation, we are pausing all Annual Memberships. This means that the Annual Memberships will be extended by the amount of time that we have to remain closed, from when we re-open. For example, if we are closed for one month, Annual Meberships will be extended for one month and so on. You do not need to contact us now and we will ensure this is carried out for all our annual members.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY PRE-PAID TICKET or Voucher?

Pre-paid tickets will be extended by the amount of time that we have to remain closed, from when we re-open. For example, if we are closed for one month, the tickets’ expiry date will be extended for one month and so on.

IF I HAVE AN ANIMAL EXPERIENCE BOOKED, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY BOOKING?

If you have a pre-booked animal experience, regrettably it will not be able to take place whilst we are closed. In this instance a member of our Experiences team will get in touch with you, when we are open, directly to rearrange.

If you have paid for an experience or have a gift voucher and do not yet have a confirmed date then please do not contact us until we re-open, the end date for your voucher will be extended by the amount of time that we have to remain closed, from when we re-open. For example, if we are closed for one month, your vouchers validity  will be extended for one month and so on.

WILL THE ANIMALS BE LOOKED AFTER?

Rest assured, our amazing keeper teams will continue to care for all our animals whilst we are closed.
